- Forever Young Doll Hospital
A doll hospital in Chino Valley, Arizona that restores antique, vintage and collectible dolls and also repairs teddy bears and stuffed animals. - Lesley Ewing Nolan Fine Art
A doll restorer who writes up every job she does, in detail, with the reasoning. She sculpts missing porcelain in Apoxie two-part putty, then sands and airbrushes it; she built a whole new cloth body around a family's heirloom doll head; and she says plainly that gluing on a wig is far cheaper than re-rooting hair. Also takes mohair Steiff, which she warns is fragile enough that pulling a needle too hard puts a hole in it.
Colorado Springs
- Not Just Dolls
A doll shop and repair service in the Dallas Fort Worth area that also sells dolls and does appraisals. Their published price list is mostly doll work, but it includes reattaching bear limbs, replacing eyes on stuffed toys and cleaning toy clothes, and they quote from a photo emailed to them.

- Yester-Dolls

Antique and vintage doll restoration, cleaning and repairs, with press coverage on WMUR and a YouTube feature called The Doll Repairer. The website has not been touched in a decade.
- Randy's Toy Shop
Thirty years and twenty thousand toys, in an 1890s building in downtown Noblesville. Tin, celluloid, composition and pressed steel, custom parts fabricated for almost anything, and the mechanisms repaired: wind-up and battery-operated both. They also invented the cardboard box repair business. This is where the toys every plush specialist refuses actually go.

- Attic Antiquity Doll Hospital
Dorothy Meredith and her husband Mike, restoring dolls from a studio in Central Texas since the early 1980s, specialising in composition. - Brigit Bears
A maker of memory bears and custom teddies who also takes in repairs of teddy bears and other soft toys, and turns vintage fur coats into jointed bears. The site is almost entirely gallery: there is no process, no price and no location anywhere on it.
- Doll Cottage, The Doll Repair Hospital
A doll repair hospital that publishes what it calls a partial list of services and a flat 12.99 dollar return shipping fee, and takes Madame Alexander among others. The site has not been touched in a decade.
- Donna's Children
Making and restoring porcelain dolls since 1983, with a shop attached. They examine the doll, send you an estimate, and start nothing without approval. Restring American Girl dolls using factory methods, which is a specific enough claim to be worth something.
- Forget Me Not Dolls
A doll repair practice with a before-and-after gallery, sitting inside a shop for antique doll clothes. They also run repair seminars with a class bring-list, and publish articles arguing professional doll repair against amateur doll repair, which is a fair question to have an answer to before you choose anybody.
- Joy Doll Hospital
A registered charity that restores donated dolls and gifts them to girls in children's homes or removed from their families, and takes paid repair work to fund it. Their doll doctor is the youngest member of the Doll Doctors Association and one of very few specialising in American Girl dolls.
- Mar-Ke Mohair
A one-person home workshop in the US, run by Martha, that repairs and restores stuffed toys and nothing else, with a focus on collectible and antique mohair bears and animals. She works by post on a booked schedule, requires cleaning as part of the job, will not do partial repairs, and has a long published list of things she will not take on.

- Winey Bears Repair

How this list was built
Every entry was read off the business's own public pages. 5 of the 30 look untouched for years: a copyright several years old, a shop promising to reopen on a date that has passed, a page booked through a year that is over. We do not name which, because we have not asked any of them and being publicly guessed at is not something you should take from a stranger.
That rate depends on how you look. Businesses found by search alone are flagged at 38%; those found through trade lists and associations, 18%. Search rewards an old site with old links, so a list built only from search carries twice as many ghosts as one built from the trade itself.
